Teresa brought St. Paul’s charity to life—"Charity is patient, is kind…thinketh no evil." She brought it to life while cleaning, dusting, mending, while in the sacristy, in recreation: no scope was too small for her intense pursuit of sanctity, and no achievement was too small to offer to God.

Teresa called her way of perfection the Little Way; first, because its stepping-stones were little things, as we have seen; and second because it involved becoming like a little child and having absolute trust and dependence of God.
